This young adult novella is my baby. It will always have a special place in my heart. It's my first young adult story published. Once I created Gabby and Sam, they took over. I loved telling their story and found myself crying along with them. This story shows the reality of dealing with life issues at a tender age. It will make you laugh and cry. I absolutely love Gabby's spunk and protectiveness of Sam.

"I don't think that I've ever read such a short book that has pulled me in so deeply, or affected me so profoundly. This is 75 pages that everyone needs to read. I have just finished it and I am still reeling. All I can say is, Wow! Happily, the author is a lot more eloquent than that! :)
Three best friends, as children, name a star constellation and make up stories about it. As teens, one of these friends has grade 3 cancer, and on top of trying to deal with that, Gabby develops a crush on her other best friend. Add to that the fact that Sam's illness is forcing her to face long-buried memories of a death she faced at age 5, and it feels as though her world is crumbling around her. Now, more than ever, the friendship "written in the stars" is deeply important to her.
This is a story of life, death, love, and grief. It gets a strong five stars from me ... I only wish I could give it ten. As soon as T C Booth publishes another book, I want to read it.
